Restart Event
The Restart Event aims to help newer players gain a more solid footing starting out on the Project Zero Server while also releasing some new, interesting content for both old and new players alike.
General Info

- Starts: August 24th and will go for about 2 months
- For the duration of this event, the main server will be closed
- Once this event is over, the Restart server will be merged into the main server, no progress lost
Skill Rebalances
This event will bring a large portion of the latest official skill changes. Some highlights include:
- Revamped cast times, cooldowns, and SP costs of almost every skill in the game
- Updated skill trees to enable new builds (ex: Axe Tornado Whitesmith, Cannon Spear Paladin)
- Reworked skills with "special" damage types (for example Acid Demonstration) to be regular skill attacks
- To make build crafting easier, the Stats & Skill Reset System will be significantly cheaper during the event

New Race to Level 120!
Just like at the beginning of this server, we will be holding a new race to max level (120)! The first person of each Job that reaches level 120 will be featured as a statue ingame for everybody to see. The current 120 statues will not be removed! They've been given a new home 😉
Booster Gear
Booster gear will be more powerful than it currently is, and will now be permanent! Please note that Booster Gear will still be limited to two sets per Master Account, so think wisely about what classes you'll want to use them for.

Cheaper skill and stat resets
To make sure everybody can try out new builds with the extensive Skill Rebalance patch, we will make skill and stat resets during Restart significantly cheaper. The current plan is to have them cost 50,000 Zeny each. But this might be subject to change.
Increased Rewards
- Daily login rewards will be improved
- Memorial Dungeon (Instance) rewards will be increased
- A new system that let's you reset a completed Memorial Dungeon before the cooldown period is over will be available. You will be given 3 resets per Memorial Dungeon and per Master Account. That means that you could theoretically run the same dungeon with the same character four times in one day. We'll be monitoring this new feature to see how it might need to be adjusted.
- Possibly there will be area "Spotlights" (i.e., Einbroch) with increased EXP and item drop rates for that area while it is spotlit
- EXP rates will be increased to 6/6/6 on the weekends. Weekends will last from Friday 6pm to Monday 4am server time
- Our buff NPC, Emily, will be active for everybody under Level 100 (including a small EXP buff).
More accessible headgears
Some headgears from Localization updates like Clock Tower, Hugel and Amatsu are absolutely build-defining. We're making sure that people during Restart will be able to craft these more easily. This includes reduced material costs for some headgears, as well as additional ways to get the necessary materials.
Super Novice
The Super Novice class, as well as its Expanded version, will be added!
Automated Events
Outside of the typical World Boss automated event, there may be other automated opportunities for players to earn Event Coins.

When does the Restart event begin/end?
Restart begins on August 24th and will run for approx. 2 months.
What rates will the Restart server have?
The same as the main server, 5x/5x/5x - but a lot of items needed for endgame gear will drop at increased rates. And there will be several mechanisms to temporarily increase EXP gain (for example, Emily, and Battle Manuals)
Will the existing account structure of old accounts be carried over, just without the characters on them available?
The existing Master Accounts and game accounts will stay, but there will be no characters in them.
What will happen to Restart characters after the event ends?
All characters and their progress will be merged with the main server and can continue to be played there.
How will character names work during the merge?
Characters you create during the event will not be able to use names already in existence, whether that name already exists on the paused main server or the Restart server. If for some reason there's a conflict during the merge (i.e., two characters with the same name), one of the characters will receive a Name Change Coupon. The criteria to determine who gets the Name Change Coupon has yet to be announced.
What will happen to master storage during the merge?
Master storage content will be merged with the main server. This might lead to your storage containing more items than technically allowed. While your storage is "over capacity" you can also take items out but not put more in, until your storage is back under normal capacity.
Is Booster gear permanent? How many sets can I have?
During the event, you can claim two permanent sets per Master Account. After the event ends, the maximum number you can get is reduced to one. So any new players joining after Restart will still be able to claim one set of permanent Booster gear. If you have already claimed two Boosters during Restart, you will not be able get any more after the event.

Is the APAC proxy working?
No, and unfortunately we currently have no plans to bring it back.
Can we use edited GRFs or macros?
No.
Is there a cash shop?
No.
Is there WoE/BG?
There is currently no WoE planned for the event, but depending on population, it might be enabled again on the main server. Battlegrounds are available via an NPC in the center of Prontera.
Is this for PC only or can I play on Android?
PC only.
Do I need a new game client to play this event?
No! You can use your existing client. If you experience issues, or it's been awhile and you don't want to patch so much, the client download on the website has been updated to be more recent.
