1. Enter the Prontera Castle, proceed north two portals, then turn west right away to find a set of stairs. 2. Enter the room at the top and speak to Senior Crusader prt_cas24881 to begin the quest. The first task is to gather a number of items.

• Note: This part can be skipped by bringing a Chivalry Emblem and a Hand of God when first speaking with the Senior Crusader.

• The player is required to collect one of three sets:

3. Bring the items back to Senior Crusader, speak with Man in Anguish (Murnak Mijoul) prt_cas24094. You need to be wearing a Rosary when you talk to this NPC. You can buy them from the Prontera Church.

4. He will tell the player to run a gauntlet of monsters, which include Mandragora, Flora, Greatest General and Familiar without attacking any of them. Having Endure is helpful.

5. Once you crossed the hallway filled with monsters, speak to Man in Anguish again. He'll send you to a Crusader in the [Prontera]] Church for a knowledge test next. Exit the Prontera Castle and head to the Church, which is located in the north-east corner of Prontera. The Crusader is in the north-west corner of the church's main room prt_castle9524.

7. After passing the written exam, go back to the Prontera Castle, in the room where you spoke to Senior Crusader. Speak to Patron Knight prt_castle70154 for the final part of the Crusader quest.

• He will ask for a Holy Water, which can be obtained from Priest and Acolyte characters through the Aqua Benedicta skill.

8. The player must then fight through multiple waves of monsters in 4 minutes. The waves are:

It appears that the player will pass the test no matter the outcome, even if the player dies in this test.
