Hello everyone!
+
## General Info

we have a very special announcement for you today. Behind the scenes we have been working on an exciting new server-wide event called "Zero Restart".
+
* [https://playragnarokzero.com/news/restart-announcement Official website announcement]
 +
* Starts: August 24th and will go for about 2 months
 +
* For the duration of this event, the main server will be '''closed'''
 +
* Once this event is over, the Restart server will be merged into the main server, no progress lost

We know that it can be intimidating to start from scratch on a new server that's been going on for a while. Especially in Zero where the gear treadmill can be a bit difficult to get started with.
+
## Skill Rebalances

For the Restart Event we will open a brand new server for both new and old players. This server will only be open for a limited amount of time (around 2 months)! The current server will be temporarily closed during the event period.
+
This event will bring a large portion of the latest official skill changes. Some highlights include:

After the event period, players will be able to migrate their Restart characters to the main server.
+
* Revamped cast times, cooldowns, and SP costs of almost every skill in the game
 +
* Updated skill trees to enable new builds (ex: Axe Tornado Whitesmith, Cannon Spear Paladin)
 +
* Reworked skills with "special" damage types (for example Acid Demonstration) to be regular skill attacks

The Restart Event will start August 24 and will go for about 2 months.

Keep an eye on our Discord server for more updates on this. You'll find more information about the Restart event below.

## Booster Gear

Starting fresh together is a great opportunity to show Project Zero to your friends without feeling like you're already behind before you even started. So definitely don't miss out on this opportunity!
+
Booster gear will be more powerful than it currently is, and will now be permanent! Please note that Booster Gear will still be limited to two sets per Master Account, so think wisely about what classes you'll want to use them for.

See you around, The Project Zero team

## Increased Rewards

About the Restart Event
+
* Daily login rewards will be improved
The temporary Restart server will of course feature all the exciting Zero mechanics and content that makes Project Zero special. See https://wiki.playragnarokzero.com/wiki/Zero.
+
* Memorial Dungeon (Instance) rewards will be increased
 +
* Possibly there will be area "Spotlights" (i.e., Einbroch) with increased EXP and item drop rates for that area while it is spotlit
 +
* EXP rates will be increased on the weekends

However, the server will also feature a bunch of exciting differences to make things exciting for veterans, and to help newcomers and returning players catch up more easily.
+
## Automated Events

Skill Rebalance
+
Outside of the typical World Boss automated event, there may be other automated opportunities for players to earn coins.
There is a major skill rebalance planned for Project Zero that will significantly shake up some classes as you know them. The Restart server will exclusively get this skill rebalance before the main server.

Some highlights of the balance patch includes:

Revamped cast times, cooldowns, and SP costs of almost every skill in the game

Updated skill trees to enable new builds (how does Axe Tornado for Whitesmith sound?!)

Reworked skills with "special" damage types (for example Acid Demonstration) to be regular skill attacks

Booster Gear

The Booster Event will make a return on the Restart server. The Booster gear you can get from this will quickly ramp you up for most content in the game.

For the first time we will also unlock the Booster Gear's true potential. When we first introduced them to Project Zero, we didn't have Trans classes yet, so we adjusted their bonuses to the current meta. For Restart, Booster Gear will be stronger and have better synergy with Trans classes.

Increased Rewards

Various parts of the game will have increased rewards. This includes rewards from Memorial Dungeons (Instances), as well as daily login rewards. We will also look into having Spotlight periods during which certains areas (for example, Einbroch) have increased item and EXP rewards.

General EXP rates will also be increased on the weekends.

Automated Events

Apart from our popular World Boss automated events, we will also look into adding more automated events to the game for people to earn coins.
