Overview
You will receive Novice Gear that is character-bound. There is a Vending Machine at every job changer that will allow you to trade them in for something useful.
Getting Novice Gear
Visit the Academy Receptionist in the Criatura Academy.
You will be awarded with the following gear:

Exchange Rates
There are two types of exchange you can perform at the Vending Machine:
- Novice Gear Exchange
- Free Storage Ticket Exchange
Novice Gear Exchange
You can exchange 5 pieces of gear up to a total of 16 Free Ticket for Kafra Storage and 1 Criatura Hair Coupon.
- Select the option to exchange your gear
- Confirm your selection (this will exchange all eligible items, including equipped)
Exchanging Free Tickets for Kafra Storage
You can exchange 4 Free Tickets for Kafra Storage for any of the items below.
