Talk with Young Man lighthalzen253205, he will hand you a mail for Maku.
- Talk repeatedly with the Security Guard lighthalzen267200 untill he's distracted so you can sneak past him.
Go to Maku lighthalzen337232 and hand him the mail.
Go back to the Young Man lighthalzen253205 and he will send you to Digotz.
Go to the Lighthalzen Hotel lighthalzen159133, go upstairs and then enter the 1st room on the left.
Talk with Digotz lhz_in02201210, he will give you a message for Maku.
Go back to Maku lighthalzen337232, he will start talking about their past.
Go back to Digotz lhz_in02201210 and you will hear him curse Maku. Write down the words he says. Case sensitive, word for word and punctuations!

Go back to Maku lighthalzen337232 and tell him Digotz's words, one sentence at a time. Maku will break down after hearing them.
Talk to Maku again and calm him down. He'll tell you about his other friend Benkaistein.
Go back to Digotz lhz_in02201210 and tell him exactly what Maku mentioned. He'll mention Benkaistein as well.
Leave Digotz's room and talk with the Body Guard lhz_in02234203, he will tell you that Benkaistein studies with an Alchemist.
Go inside the house at Top-Right of Lighthalzen lighthalzen251299
Go upstairs and talk with Benkaistein lhz_in03104108 about Maku and Digotz. He says he will help to resolve their issue but can't find the book. Tell him to Stop to wear out and help him find the book.
Talk with the pile of books near him and find his book. Always select the first options.
Talk with Benkaistein again and ask him if you can borrow the book. He will say it's okay but you have to talk to Digotz first.
Go back to the Hotel and read the diary to Digotz lhz_in02201210.
Now go to Maku lighthalzen337232 and read him the diary.
Go back to Digotz lhz_in02201210.
Exit the room and talk with the Body Guard lhz_in02234203
